(Origin Ver. 8 SR 6, Windows XP)

Hello,
I have a large 3D array where my data is stored in blocks plane by plane (each as a 2D matrix), separated by an empty line.
If I import this to a worksheet, this format is preserved. To plot a single selected plane in a 3D-Plot, I simply copy this x-y-plane to a matrix to plot this. However, now I would like to plot an x-z-plane or an y-z-plane (one row or collumn of each block).

Can Origin anyhow handle this?

Alex

Hi:

Matrix in Origin is different from other products like Matlab. Could you please send us some sample dataset and show us what do you want to do?

Thanks
Larry

You can always write script to extract the data to put into a matrix to do this. Should be pretty simple if you know LabTalk a bit.

There is currently no GUI way to handle this.
