Origin Ver. 8.X PRO and Service Release (Select Help-->About Origin):
Operating System: WinXP SP3
Hi,All
I am wondering whether there is a log file in originpo 8.0 which record the err log of running the program. With it, we can find out what's going on when we try to do analysis but nothing show up by the program. Such as at many times, I have a correct 3-column data sheet, but when trying to convert to matrix, nothing show up. Thanks!

Hi Yunqi,

I have tried to convert a bad XYZ worksheet to a matrix by gridding on my ver. 8.0, 8.5, and 8.5.1, after clicking OK in the tool's dialog, Script window appeared (if not already opened) with the error message in either version. Possibly a special case of your data or a procedure? I suggest you to contact to the Technical Support to give the data and the steps what you did.

Thanks Hideo Fujii.
I just try to convert a 3-column sheet (list below) to matrix using XYZ gridding. The program flash once, then nothing happened. I have met such thing before, at that time, I just recompile some parts with a button in origin (now I cannot remember), then it works again. So do you have some clue on this?

Hi,

As I wrote at your other post, I first suggest you to upgrade to SR6.
Then, we can eliminate the possibilities of the bugs which have been fixed in a later service release.

P.S. You can reinstall 8.0 SR6 directly from its installation file downloadable from:
