Origin Ver. and Service Release (Select Help-->About Origin): 8.5.1 SR2
Operating System:Win7-64
Hi.
I am trying to find local minima and maxima on a dataset. The dataset is oscillating and decaying. Any good ideas?
Thanks.

The peak analyser will find your local min and max.
You can try different methods and choose the one which best fits your needs.

Hi Thomas,
Maybe you haven't tried the "Negative" Direction of the peaks (in the Peak Finding Settings option branch) in the "Find Peaks" stage of Peak Analyzer. Can you try?
