Origin 8.1 SR2 (v8.1.88.89), Win7
Is there a way to disable the automatic checking of the "rescale on ok" box in the "layer contents" window? I like to have this box unchecked by default - i.e. when I change data in the layer, I generally do not want to change the scale of the graph. |

Hi paulsnij,
I have tested the latest version of Origin, ver. 8.5.1, and found that the check box "Rescale on Apply" in the Layer Contents dialog box is always turned OFF as the default. You can confirm this behavior by your self in the evaluation version of Origin.

Hi Hideo, thanks - unfortunately my employer only has a license for v8.1, so I can't use 8.5.
(Since you seem to work at Origin:) it seems from your remark that this box is only default OFF in v8.5 (and later). Is that correct? And I presume there is no way to get in this mode in v8.1?

Sorry, but yes, that is my understanding. (I believe even in ver.8.5, you cannot control in that level, e.g., change to turning ON always as default, because I don't see the Theme mechanism in this Layer Contents dialog; but I might be wrong.)
