Origin Ver. and Service Release (Select Help-->About Origin): 8.5
Operating System: Win XP SP3

Dear Origin developers,

please add a Pan (&Zoom) Axis Tool for the next Origin version. It would be a tool that would work the same as the new Pan & Zoom Page Tool in 8.5, but acting on the axes, not on the page. It would be an extension of the current Zoom In and Zoom Out buttons in the Tools toolbar.

Such a feature helps immensely in other plotting programs. Without it, finding the right region of data for display or adjusting it, or exploring the data in detail is a real pain. Many people I know do not use Origin because of this single pain.

It will be available in the upcoming Origin 8.6, expect to be release in Nov.
