Origin Ver. and Service Release (Select Help-->About Origin): 9.0.0. 64 bit b76
Operating System: W7 pro 64 bit

Hallo everybody.
I import my ASCII data from .txt file into Worksheet using CNTL+K, this is very convinient combination. Unfortunately in this case the COMMENT window in properties of active worksheet will be automatically filled with path, ex. D:\Samples All\2013_01_17\P007A.SC
Can somebody help me, how to change the OriginPro options in order to have after import have just blank COMMENT property of the worksheet?

Hi Redspirit,

To do what you want, please uncheck the Append Filename to Workbook Commnet check box.

Hello,

You can save your default import ascii settings.

Here is how to do it:
Press Ctrl+K
In the dialog that open, check "Show Options Dialog" checkbox. Select any data file and click OK.
In the dialog that opened, uncheck "Append File Name in Worksheet Comment" checkbox.

Then click the > next to Dialog Theme box, and choose Save as Default.
Click OK to finish this import. Make sure no file name is added as worksheet comment.

Try Ctrl+K again.
This time, uncheck "Show Options Dialog" checkbox.
Import a data, No comments should be added.

From now on, no file path name will be add to comment since you changed default import ascii theme.

If you want to change back, check "Show Options Dialog" checkbox to see ImpASCII dialog again. Choose > button next to Dialog theme box and choose System Default.

Thanks, Snow Li
