I am using Origin 9.0
In a considerably large project, all tick marks from all my graphs are gone??? I tried refreshing, reassigning labels, checking and un-cheking "show ticks" box, yet to no avail.
This is quite a disastrous situation and I would appreciate any help on this matter.
Best. |

Just discovered something,
When I open the project file in 64-Bit Origin the tick marks reappeared. However when the tick marks did suddenly disappear I was working with 32-Bit Origin |

Hi there, I have the same issue, but mine don't reapper when I change to the 64-bit. Did you do anything else to get them back?

I had also posted my problem similar to this. http://www.originlab.com/forum/topic.asp?TOPIC_ID=18865
Like OP suggested, I used the 64 bit version and opened the file and the ticks appeared. I still need to test it a little bit more.
OS: Win 8
I am assuming there is some compatibility issue with the 32 bit and the 64 bit versions that may have missed the debuggers/developers's keen eye.
Then again, I am unsure of what is acctualy happening from user's end.
Edit: the same file when opened with 32 bit -> ticks disappear, when opened with 64 bit --> Ticks are back.
Edit 2: I made 2 test files, one each in 32 and 64bit versions: Upon creation: 32bit: File: Test 32 - no ticks in graphs 64bit: File: Test 64 - Ticks present
Upon opening both files in both versions (I opened both files/projects/.opj files with both Origin 32 bit and Origin 64 bit) Test 32: Ticks visible only when opened with origin 64 bit Test 64: Ticks visible only when opened with origin 64 bit

I just got this problem, unfortunately I can't have the 64 bit version (windows 32 bit). I have tried on old version (Originpro 8.0) on which it works, however my company provides the 9.0, so I would like to use the new one.
Is there any other solution for the missing ticks? |

As I mentioned in the other post, usually ticks gone is a symptom of invalid license or license has expired, including demo licenses.
Could you send an Image of your Help: About Origin dialog to tech@originlab.com so we can check the SN and what may be wrong?
Help: About Origin dialog will have Remaining times field to show what may be wrong.
