Origin Ver. 9 pro and Service Release (Select Help-->About Origin): Operating System: 64 bit Windows 7.
I am going to be purchasing a workstation to run Origin Pro 9, 64bit on, probably a HP Z820.
The Question is does Origin fully support the multi core CPUs? In other words, am I better off getting a computer with less cores but faster clock speed or one with more cores but less clock speed?
Some tools in Origin supports multi cores, for example the 3D plotting in Origin 9. But not all tools support that.
So if only consider the performance improvement of Origin, we believe a computer with faster clock speed would help more than a computer with more cores.
