Hello, I have measurement of concentration under two different conditions from 0 to 24 hours ( measurement is at each hour). I have the hourly plot of concentration under two conditions. I want to report the difference in concentration over specific time, specially ( say 8-9 am ) and ( say 16-17 hours) in my plot. How can I show the significance level of my difference? I am interested in mentioning the significant level of difference over these specific times. And at other time of the day the levels are not showing major enhancement. I have read about the t test. How can we apply the same. Should we use pair sample t test or two sample t test. And how to interpret the same
For one condition, you can use the paired t-test to compare the morning and afternoon measurements. Sort you worksheet using the Time column. Select Statistics : Hypothesis Testing : Pair Sample t-Test. For 1st Data Range, use the 'Select from Worksheet' button and select the rows in one condition for the first time range. For the 2nd Data Range, do the same for the second time range (same column/condition). Use the Two-Sample t-Test to compare the conditions over similar times.
