Hi :)
I want to plot a XRD pattern with OriginPo 9, but as you can see in the picture, the diagram has so much noises!!! I tried the smoothing, however it didn't work out! I want to pick up the main peaks manually and omit the noises, but I don't know how to do it! Could you please help me and show the guideline in order to solve this problem? Looking forward your reply. Thank You

Hi F abdullahi,
Generally peak Analyzer is used to pick peaks manually, however since your data is so noisy I don't know if it will work for you.
However if you want to try it:
To use the Peak Analyzer, go to Analysis: Peaks and Baselines: Peak Analyzer: Open Dialog. In the Peak Analyzer dialog, select Find Peaks on the first page and then click next till you reach the Peak Finding page. Here you can deselect Auto Find. Then click on the Add button. You can then double click on each peak you want using the cursor.

I think you really need to do some smoothing of such data first.

Hi,
Can you send the data to <tech@originlab.com> so we can play with it a little?
I think smooth should work, maybe you need better smooth method or parameters.
