Origin 2019

Sometimes my error bars extend past an axis. I would like a way for them not to cross the axis. The blue error bars don't cross, but for some reason the red error bars do. Thanks!

Hi,

In the Line and Scatter with Error bar plot, by default, it will not show the error bar outside of the layer frame in Origin 2019.

I am not sure whether there are some special settings in your graph.

If you don’t mind, please send your project file to us so that we can look into the problem?

You can send your Origin file to our Tech Support department <tech@originlab.com> with detailed version and Serial Number information. (You can check it by selecting "Help: About Origin" in the menu.)

Thanks
Jacqueline

Hi,

Please go to menu Preferences: System Variables... . Add PEC in Variable column and set value to 1. Click OK to apply. See if it works.

@YimingChen

I tried your method and it gave me a warning: @PEC: unknown system variable, use as is

It didn't work initially, but when I reopened the program, it was magically fixed! Thanks for the suggestion.

@JacquelineHe

Thanks for the offer, but it seems to be working now.
