OriginPro 2019b (64-bit) 9.6.5.169
Windows 7 Pro x64 SP1

Greetings!

I average two curves, one of which is longer than the other.
However, Preview Window shows the resulting averaged declining after the limit of the shortest curve (see below).
How do I force the resulting curve to be identical to the longest curve outside the overlapping region?

Thank you.

Hi,

Can you set Averaged X as Same as Source X? See if that works.

I set so and got the desired output outside the overlapping region, but weird spikes inside the overlapping region (see below).
What else can I try?

Hi,

I had the same problem before and I think OriginLab team should fix that. I solved that by making one common X column for all Y's and then perform row statistic. The problem here is you should shift data (align) for all Y individually mostly manually. Another issue is if you have different sampling interval. Best,

Nikolay
