Origin Ver. and Service Release (Select Help-->About Origin): OriginPro 2020b (64-bit) 9.7.5.184
Operating System: Windows Server 2012r2 standard

When setting the decimal places of my y-axis in the diagram, Origin does not apply these digits to the axis. Setting decimal places in the workbook does work properly. What am I doing wrong? I never had this issue with my older version of Origin.

This is a change we made in 2020b, but you can turn it off in Tools > Options > Axis tab, see
