OriginPro 2021 (64-bit) 9.8.0.200 Windows 7 Pro x64 SP1
Greetings!
While using the recently introduced Color Manager I noticed that a Color List and a Palette can have one of the following types or categories: Undefined, Sequential, Diverging or Qualitative (see https://www.originlab.com/doc/User-Guide/Customizing-Graphs).
Can you explain the meaning and purpose of the types (categories), please? Where does one ready about them?
Thank you.

Dear Shirley,
Thank you for sharing the link. Does this mean that types (categories) simply text labels for grouping of color lists and pallets? Does the type selection change anything except for labels?
Thank you.

They are just labels for sorting and grouping, nothing else.
When you add your own, you can ignore this.
