OriginPro 2021 (64-bit) 9.8.0.200
Windows 7 Pro x64 SP1

Greetings!

By default, Origin fits page (white canvas) to graph window. The drawback of this is that the graph is being displayed out of scale, i. e. text display does not reflect actual font size.

How do I disable fitting of the page to the graph window?

Thank you.

What graph type did u plot? For most graphs, this isn’t the default.

If u click page edge to see page level mini toolbar, there is button to switch the view.

U can also go to plot details dialog. Select graph level on the left, then change view.

Thanks, Snow

You would like graphs to have a mode similar to Word where the window resizing won't change the size of the page right?

And in this mode when Zoom is at 100%, the font size will match how they appear in Word.

Or if you mean when resizing window, the font size should not change, you can choose Preferences: Theme Organizer.
On Graph tab, find
Layer No Element Scaling.
Right click it and choose Set as System Theme.

Then when you plot new graphs, there will not be font scaling.

Thanks, Snow

I want to disable this counter-intuitive behavior, were at 100% zoom font, axes and plot sized depend on the graph windows size.

How do I achieve this?

Maybe you didn't noticed my question above, after Snow Li's two replies:

We have people asking about font size to be what they set before but we have not received request so far for such a view mode.

Correct, I want to have a mode similar to Word where the graph window resizing won't change the size of the page. In this mode Zoom of 100% would render font size matching the appearance in Word.

I added ORG-22938 for future consideration, if more people ask for this.
