Hello. I'm trying to export some graphs I made using OriginPro 2020, however, when I try to do it, an error message appears

Error 14001

The application has failed to start because its side-by-side configuration is incorrect. Please see the application event log or use the command-line sxstrace.exe tool for more detail.

I tried googling the error but found no solutions. One answer was posted in this forum, talking about the 2017 version, and doing some extra installs. This does not work for my problem.

Is there a fix for the OriginPro 2020 version?

Version used
OriginPro 2020 (64-bit) SR1
9.7.0.188 (Academic)

Also, I should point out, that I use origin at the University computers, and therefore, I have no administrator permission to download/install new software/plugins

You can try the solution on this page but may still need administrator privilege.

Hello,

I have the same problem with Origin 2019 since last friday.
I feel like the problem came after a windows update, I'll try doing a reset to the previous version to see if it works.

Indeed it may have come after a Windows Update. Follow the directions provided above to resolve the issue.

Thanks,

I tried the proposed solution yesterday, without success. I tried to come back to an earlier version of windows but it didn't work.
The only solution that worked for me was to reset my computer.

The suggested solution does not work. I am using Windows 10 OriginPro 2021b. Reinstalling OriginPro does not work either.

Hi,

Anti-virus software may have falsely detected and deleted these files.
Can you try disabling the anti-virus and try installing the DLLs again?

Thanks, It has finally worked.

Before I used the "Repair" option which did not fix the issue. Now I press the "Uninstall" button to fully uninstall the previous installation of the C++ Redistributables, and then I reinstall again. I also only install the 64 bit version only this time. It works.
