Greetings!

https://www.originlab.com/doc/LabTalk/guide/Basic-Matrix-Object-Operation described a way to add a named matrix object:
// Add a named matrix object to a matrixsheet
wks.addCol(Channel2);

What is the difference between regular MOs and named MOs?

Thank you.

That doc must be outdated, matrix objects can have Long Name, so better not to name it like that. It was from a very long ago, so you can do "list s" to see that you may access it like a dataset, but that practice is not recommended.

Your best bet is to use

wks.NMATS

to control the number of matrix objects in a matrix sheet.
