Origin Ver. and Service Release (Select Help-->About Origin): 7.5 Operating System: XP
Hi, all I have XYZ data for 3D plot and the data has non-value at certain region of XY.(Please see the first figure below) The problem is whenever I convert the data to matrix form, it looks to me that the region is filled with values from adjacent cell. (see second figure) Do you have any idea how to figure out this problem?
Converting from Worksheet to Matrix involves Gridding which interpolates and extrapolates to fill in values in the matrix where there were no XYZ values originally.
Origin 8 offers direct contour plots from XYZ data without gridding. Extrapolation still occurs, but by default Origin restricts contour display to limits of data.
