Origin Ver. and Service Release: OriginPro 8 SR4 v8.0951 (B951)
Operating System: Win XP

Hi everybody,
in a 2D line graph one can easily set custom colors to the graph itself and the axis title just by using the style/format toolbar -> color. There the 24 pre-defined colors plus 16 user-defined colors are available and one is even able to customize new ones.

But for the (x and) y axis there are only the 24 pre-defined colors and no possibility to select the user-defined (to link the graph to the axis). Also not in the axis dialog box.

Is it anyhow possible to set user-defined colors to (x and) y axis?

Thanks for your help!

Custom color support for axis and grid lines requires Origin 8.1, not possible in 80.

You can download the demo and give it a try, can now just click axis and choose custom color from toolbar button.
