Hi Ariel,

Origin can show non-ASCII characters (in unicode table) in the following places:

1) Text Labels in a Graph: Using Text Tool, when you enter characters in the field, right-click and choose Symbol Map. You can turn ON Unicode check box, and choose any unicode characters.

2) Data Cells (or Column Headers like Comments, Long Names, etc.) in a Worksheet: Right-click in the grey area of worksheet, choose Format tab, set "Data" (or "Comment", "Long Name", etc.) to "Apply to" option, and turn On the Rich Text check box. Then, when entering characters in the cell, right-click and choose Symbol Map.

Also, if the characters are in the extended ASCII area (out of English alphabets), you might be able to use it directly; However, it may depend on the language settings of the operating system. I suggest you to try the evaluation version of Origin to check before:

Also, I myself don't have the experience on using Origin with "right-to-left" languages like Hebrew. I suspect that Origin would behave following the way under the Operating System. I suggest you to talk to Origin distributor in Israel as they should have lots of experience for your concern:

Thank You Hideo for the quick response.

I will try first the evaluation version, I think you are right about behaving according to the operating system.

I didn't look for support in Israel and I will be very happy to hear the language.

Ariel
