Origin Pro 2015(64-bit)Sr2 b9.2.272: Operating System:Windows 7
Hello,
I am doing a comparison of two project files in Origin. After appending the second project file, project files are renamed automatically. Earlier these new renamed files were appended with letter "A" at the end, but now it is strange file names are appended with "DS". Is there any way to remove this appending option or how to rename it back with previous Appending "A" instead of this "DS".
Thanks Rithesh Prabhu |

Hi,
I am afraid that there is no way to change the appending option.
But we have never changed the rule. It should always append A.
Could you send us your project file so that we can further identify the problem?
You could follow the instructions below to send your file. http://www.originlab.com/index.aspx?go=Support&pid=752

Thank you Echo for your reply. But our Project files are in Gigabytes, is it fine to copy that much data to the FTP server? |

Origin requires each book to have unique short name, so that is why renaming is needed.
You can use long names instead? Reason for not able to use A must be because of many past append that many books with similar short name has been appended, so Book1, Book1A, Book1B, and all the way to Book1DS
